Junior Data Scientist
I joined ACE because I wanted to work at the intersection of technology and trust, building AI systems that help people make decisions with clarity and confidence. What drew me in was how seriously ACE takes both the tech and the regulation: it’s not just about building tools, but about solving real-world problems in a careful, meaningful way.
After completing my Master’s in Big Data from Vrije Universiteit and the University of Amsterdam, I was looking for a place where I could apply both analytical thinking and creativity to complex problems. At ACE, I focus on building GenAI systems that are transparent and grounded. My background helps me bridge data pipelines with compliance goals, especially in domains where precision and explainability matter most.
I love the moment when something finally “clicks”: whether it’s me or a teammate understanding a complex model behavior or a prototype returning its first real, trusted result. One moment that stands out was during my thesis, where I had to completely rework my approach mid-way through. What felt like a setback turned into a breakthrough, I ended up building something more meaningful and technically solid. That experience taught me to stay adaptive and comfortable with uncertainty, especially when working in fast-evolving areas like GenAI. It’s that sense of progress, of figuring things out piece by piece that really motivates me.
Outside work, I enjoy playing badminton. It keeps me active and competitive in a fun way. I love travelling and hiking, especially when there’s a good view or a story waiting at the end. And when I’m home, I’m usually gathered around a board game with friends which gives a mix of strategy, laughter, and friendly rivalry that always resets my week.
