Software is never finished, which is the part of the job I like. Requirements move, platforms shift, and the rules our products answer to change faster than most, so the work is not to get it right once, but to keep making it better as the ground moves.

At Ace I am a senior developer. I lead the front-end implementation of our products, and I build the company website, front and back. The measure of all of it is whether the people on the other side of the screen, our consultants and our clients, get where they are going with less friction than before.

I came to Ace after a decade of design and front-end work, at Hadrian, at ParcelParcel and at Blender in Amsterdam, and before that as a design lead at an agency in the UK. I still work the same way: close to the interface, and close to the people in front of it.

Away from the screen I am usually cuddling my dog on the sofa, on a badminton court, or tinkering with open-source and personal software projects.
