Over the past decade, financial institutions have been overwhelmed with new rules and regulations. In addition, other (technological) changes follow each other in rapid succession. Complying with all these rules and regulations while remaining relevant to their clients, can be challenging and requires structural and radical change.
Many financial institutions struggle with this and question whether they are able to make the required change and how to do so. I enjoy the challenge of working with our clients to harness an organization’s potential and realise things that previously seemed impossible. As a result, organizations once again see that their opportunities and capabilities are almost unlimited.
I have gained experience in internal audit, regulatory reporting, project management, financial accounting and data management and have worked both as consultant and in a line function. This broad experience gives me the opportunity to approach problems and projects from multiple angles and find a solution that best suits the client. I enjoy working at the interface of content and process. By creating overview, a goal-oriented approach and listening carefully to the client and experts, I‘m able to complete projects successfully and achieve positive change.
Outside work I spend as much time as possible with my wife and three children. The children all play hockey at Pinoké. All five of us are supporters of the club and can therefore be found on and around the hockey field a lot. Furthermore, we go on holiday a few times a year to a farm in De Lutte where I have been going since my youth.
