Weigh likelihood against impact. The risk management function supplies the method, from risk scoring to stress testing, and keeps assessments aligned across the organisation.

Risk Mitigation

Reduce, transfer or eliminate. Controls are tested for effectiveness and the risk appetite holds the line.

Risk Monitoring and Reporting

Monitor risks and controls continuously. Data comes up from the first line and reaches senior management and the board.

Risk Review and Improvement

Refine the process on lessons learned and on changes outside and inside the organisation. The framework is not finished when it is written.
